TBH Chinese anime is pretty much always a no-go for me. However being interested in history, especially when told from a different perspective than usual I decided to give this a try. It's different but I'm actually sticking with it. It's funny reading comments downing on this because unsurprisingly it's going to cast China and The People's Liberation Army in a positive light when literally everything remotely of this nature put out in the U.S. is basically unironically some form of Team America World Police

Maybe you can try chinese 3D anime too . Even if you dont like it, just try a whole season and youll get used to it . Its really cool, if youre interested, i can give some recommendation . 😁

That’s a pretty unique Chinese anime. I don’t see war anime that often

What? This anime has do nothing with Fusako's Army and you still connecting their action? Tell me where I was missed with your opinion.

Then I'm wrong.

I'm really liking this.. Most comments here are calling this Chinese garbage, but BiliBili is a high quality animation studio... the only one at that.. Had this a Japanese name, none of you would be able to tell the difference...
So next episode, Soviets invade Manchuria? Operation August Storm!?

tc • 1 year ago

This ain't about the Soviets and WWII lmao. Its about the life of a Japanese PLA supporter....How dumb is your history lmao.

Sovauthority • 1 year ago

A Japanese PLA supporter who in 1945 is in Manchuria (this episode is Pre-PLA)... The Soviets invade Manchuria in August 1945... Anybody living in Manchuria, would experience that... Thus, it's possible the episode will briefly mention that... I never said it was the context of the entire freakin' story...
Who's the dumb one now?

tc • 1 year ago

They did but he already ran away from the area attempting to leave for Japan before the Soviets invaded dummy, no one will be dumb enough to stay there and wait for the Soviets to come cause he would have been killed due to his nationality. So maybe a time skip and small mention, but not relevant to his history.

Sovauthority • 1 year ago

You're speculating at this point. The episode ended with him still in Manchuria.. This episode takes place on March 10, 1945, because Tokyo was bombed.. How do you know when he leaves for Japan? Unless you read the original Chinese light novel, which I highly doubt, but even if you have, how would that make me a dummy for not knowing which month he escapes to Japan? Are you seriously a 12 year old...

China could make something else for a great anime, but no they have to write something political like the PLA and center a questionable Japanese supporting the PLA.

Sovauthority • 1 year ago

Oh stfu, anything would be "political" by the sound of you... Maybe it's because 20 million Chinese died from Japanese occupation... Yet it says it's based on an actual person, so.... yeah, thanks Karen!

tc • 1 year ago

Yeah cause I don't support politics, unlike you mindless beings. Also this ain't about Japanese occupation as this ain't about WWII. This takes place after that and center around an actual Japanese supporting the PLA for the frontlines of the Liaoshen and Pingjin Campaign. Seriously even a pro-CCP and communist supporter troll like you don't even know your own history, common sense out the window.
